How We Got Started

For the last five years or so I feel like I have stumbled through life trying to figure out “what I want to do with my life”.  I know I should have figured this out long ago seeing is how I am 33 years old, married and have four children.  But I kept struggling trying to figure out it.

For many years I thought I wanted to be a lawyer.  I loved my job as a paralegal, but towards the end it was not as rewarding for me anymore.  I tried selling essential oils and makeup.  I tried selling shirts and then clothes for dogs.  I tried making my passion for photography into a career.  It seemed like I had tried it all and I just couldn’t figure out what was working for me.

Then I woke up one morning and someone had made me admin of Beginner Bible Journaling.  Wow!  I felt honored, but a bit confused.  I spoke with the lady who added me as an admin and she told me “I know you will do something great with this group”.  Bible journaling was definitely something I loved and sharing my entries was something else I loved.  When I inherited the group it had about 150 members, today my group has grown to over 5,300 members and is continuing to grow.

After inheriting my group, I knew I wanted to share Bible journaling and God’s Word with more people and I started working to connect with people in my group.  We now have the monthly Verse-A-Day Challenge and Bible Studies with Sheena.

Through these past years I have had lost of struggles, but it seems like one thing God has really helped me with is Bible journaling and sharing it with others.  I went from having no clue what I wanted to do with the rest of my life to knowing God’s plan for me is in ministry.  I may not have all the details figured out yet, but I trust God to lead me and guide me.  No matter how old or young you are, God has a plan for you.  You just have to trust him and his plan.

Thank you to everyone who I get the joys of sharing Bible journaling with, you are all a blessing to my life and I love you all dearly!
