This month’s verse-a-day challenge is focused on hope. After my recent review on the book “Mere Hope”, as I was trying to think of a topic for this months challenge “hope” popped in my head and I decided to go with it.
It is with sad news I have to tell you this month will be the last month of the verse-a-day challenge that I will be doing. God is really leading my heart to focus more on the Bible study aspect and I really want to join the Bible study and Bible journaling more. I have found myself not participating in the challenge as much anymore and really wanting to spend more and more time in the Bible study. I am not completely sure exactly what God as in store for us next, but please join me as I continue to pray and ask him to guide me. However, I do know the verse-a-day challenge will be going away and I will be working to incorporate the Bible study with Bible journaling more.
For those of you who are not currently familiar with my Bible study in January of this year I started a daily (Monday-Friday) Bible study where we read through the gospels. Once we finished up that study we took a small break and we have now working through a study called “Who Do You Say That I Am?” by Beck Harling. We are about half way done with that study and once it is over I am hoping to continue the path of Bible study with everyone.
I will not be doing a giveaway this month with the challenge. I am sorry about that, however, with some current health issues I have not had the chance to get out and get a prize together. I hope this does not discourage anyone from still joining in on this last challenge.
If you are new to my challenge its really very simple. Each day look up the verse(s) for that day and spend some time reflecting on it. When you read the passage what is God saying to you? Once you have read it and spent some time reflecting on it spend a little more time and journal it in your Bible, notebook or just a piece of paper.
After you are done Bible journaling it take a picture and share it with us in my group, Beginner Bible Journaling.
If you share your Bible journaling work on Instagram use #ChristianCreativeChallenge so we can connect. Just remember if your account is private I won’t be able to find you from the hashtag, but it will help you find others who are also participating in the challenge.
Finally make sure you print the image above so you can easily reference back to the list of verses for the challenge.
Thank you all for joining me on this journey through the verse-a-day challenge and I would like for you to all be in prayer with me about what God will bring next into our group. God bless!!
