Mere Hope – Book Review

Are you looking for hope in an age of cynicism??  They you need to fix your focus on the true hope, the hope we can only receive from Jesus!!  Today I am sharing with you a book review on “Mere Hope” by Jason G. Duesing.

Mere Hope” is a rather quick read; however, it will leave wanting to dig deeper than just what the book is telling you.

This book is broken into six chapters with each chapter focusing on a slightly different portion of hope; letting you know hope lives, the foundation of hope, the fountain of hope, hope flourishing, focusing on hope and living mere hope.  Each chapter gives some good references to help you dig deeper into that area of hope.

I did find as I was reading this book when the author referenced portions of other books I had a hard time connecting with the story.  Even though he would give you an exert from the story since I did not know some of them I struggled more.  However, this did point me towards several new books I want to read.  Hopefully after reading those books I can come back to “Mere Hope” and connect with it better.

I would rate “Mere Hope” a three out of five stars.
