The Study Bible for Women – Bible Review

Today I am so excited to be sharing with you a new Bible review.  This isn’t a journaling Bible, but it is a great Bible to use for all of your Bible studies.  The Study Bible for Women is the Christian Standard translation.  This translation is new to me, but I must say I have really enjoyed it.  I feel this translation is great for anyone who is new to reading the Bible and struggles with reading the King James translation.  While this is not a journaling Bible it does have beautiful pages through out it that reminds me of a journaling Bible with beautiful flowers.

Each chapter opens with about a page of information about the chapter giving you the who, when, where, what, why and how of the chapter.  At the bottom of the first two pages of the chapter is a timeline giving you world events and Biblical events.  It also provides with an outline of the book which is oh so helpful!!

Through out the chapters are several helpful goodies!  You will find “word study” through out the chapter which gives you some more details about how words are used in the Bible along with Hebrew translations.  You will also find “hard question” through out the Bible.  These give you some insight to what the Bible says about hard questions.  You will find “doctrine” through the Bible.  The doctrine gives you some reference on certain topics to help you along the way in your studies.  Being a study Bible it has the study notes at the bottom of each page for those verses.

This study Bible was designed with women in mind and has two wonderful features to help you study about the women of the Bible.  First is “Biblical Womanhood”, these are great for a devotional on different topics.  Next is “character profile”, which gives you the background, story and life lessons of the woman.  Both of these features are great for learning more about the women in the Bible.

This is a linen Bible and I have found that dust and fuzz does seem to stick to it.  I am planning on purchasing a clear book cover during back to school season to protect it and still be able to see its beauty.  As I said before it is not a journaling Bible, however, it is great for Bible color coding.  I am actually working on decided how I am going to set up my color coding for my Bible right now.  I’ll let you know as soon as I get it all set up.
