A Year of Being Grateful

This past year has been really hard.  We moved and it seems likes like if it could go wrong with our house it has, my husband and I split up and got back together and in the middle of the holiday season my earthly father had a stroke.  But through it all God has reminded me of one thing, “I have a lot to be grateful for”.  So when I started reflecting on 2018 and trying to think of my word of the year the one word that kept coming to my mind was “grateful”.

“Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!” Romans 7:25

In 2018, I am going to write down one thing everyday in my Faith Happy Planner that I am thankful for.  I will share more with you later, regarding how I use my Faith Happy Planner.  But in 2018 keeping a grateful log will be added to how it is used.

Word of the Year-1

To help me remember my word of the year, I decided to create this FREE printable.  You can download your own copy of it in our Member’s Only Library.

After I printed my copy of it, I decided to use my watercolor crayons (my favorite media) to color the page.  I absolutely love bright colors and a rainbow of color, so I decided to watercolor a rainbow diagonally across the page.  Once I was done coloring the page and had dried it with my heat gun, I decided to frame the picture.

Word of the Year-4

I have not decided where I am going to display my picture at yet, but I will figure that all out this week as I work on taking down all of my Christmas decorations and getting ready for the next season.  Now when I am thinking about what I am grateful for I will also think about God’s promise to Noah.

Do you select a word of the year to focus on?  What word have you selected to focus on for 2018??
